Unity Trading Ltd operates unitytrading.app and is the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect and why
- Account details (email, display name, login credentials) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: contract.
- Your journal and settings (trades, notes, preferences, timezone) — to provide the service. Legal basis: contract.
- Usage and device data (pages visited, browser, screen size, IP address, approximate location) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the site. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — to help you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Signup notification — when you create an account, we send the site owner an alert containing your email and signup time, to manage accounts and trials. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host and run the site (hosting, database, email and analytics tools).
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling the subscription, managing subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal data. Your data may be processed outside your country; where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep account and journal data while your account is open. Saved headline history is kept for 3 months. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us through the site and we will respond within one month.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data separation to protect your information.
Cookies and storage
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings.
